"The Song Remains the Same" è un album live (doppio) dei Led Zeppelin, uno dei gruppi più importanti e celebri della storia della musica rock.
Le nove tracce comprese nell'album sono state registrate nel concerto tenuto dalla band al Madison Square Garden nel 1973. Robert Plant ammalia con la sua voce da brivido, Jimmy Page vola sulle corde della chitarra e i bassi di John Paul Jones e le percussioni di John Bonham raggiungono - nel live - livelli incredibili.
Fra i brani più famosi citiamo "Stairway to Heaven", diventata indelebilmente un simbolo del gruppo, che Page suona, rispetto alla versione studio, con una "Gibson SG Double Neck" (precisamente Gibson EDS-1275), dotata di un due manici, uno a 6 e uno a 12 corde.
